FutureQuest 2019

On November 21, 2019 Journey had the pleasure of attending FutureQuest for the third year, at the Alliant Energy Center.  FutureQuest gives 5,000+ 7th and 8th grade students from around Dane County the ability to interact with professionals from a variety of career clusters.  The goal of FutureQuest is to equip students, through hands-on exhibits, with the knowledge of what skills are needed to be successful in the workforce and to help students better select courses that are aligned to their interests as they transition into high school.

This year Jessica Davis (Employment Coordinator), Melissa Bergum (Service Facilitator with GROW West), and Kaelyn Schreiner (Emergency Telephone Worker with ESU) attended the event on behalf of Journey.  They spent the day chatting with students about our organization, the services we offer, career and internship opportunities, and what types of classes/courses they can take in high school and college to set them on the path towards a career in Behavioral Health.  It was a wonderful experience for all and extremely inspiring to meet all of the students!
