We track what works. We can show you our outcomes. Our treatment philosophy is to provide evidenced based services to our consumers/clients in the least restrictive setting. We do this in culturally appropriate and recovery-oriented ways. Our clinical providers have expertise in core competencies of suicide risk assessment, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. Recovery is the goal of all treatment because it maximizes our consumers’ strengths and it fosters dignity and hope.
We offer mental health and substance abuse services to individuals across their life span. We treat our clients/consumers in settings where they are psychologically comfortable including their homes, neighborhood and senior centers, schools and clubhouses. Our experienced multidisciplinary staff provides psychiatric, social work, rehabilitation, nursing, psychological, and peer support.
Through close partnerships with area advance practice schools (UW, Edgewood, Marquette) we are a center of training. We host more than 40 advance practice clinical interns at any given time. Under close supervision, they will likely be involved in your care and recovery. We also offer more than 20 Continuing Education trainings to Journey staff and the broader community of mental health professionals.
Journey Mental Health Center has been working in and around madison for almost 70 years.
