Training Description:

Childhood trauma can have ongoing and, at times, lifelong effects on a person's mental, physical, and emotional health. The intention behind this workshop is to have a better understanding of the effects and steps we can take in treatment to address childhood trauma later in a person’s life, how a person’s relationships with others (and aspects of attachment) may be complex, and how we, as wounded warriors, need to be mindful of how we show up in our work.

Learning Objectives:
Participants will:

•Gain a better understanding of barriers currently in place that hinder addressing trauma.
•Learn about the impacts of childhood trauma and various lasting effects of untreated trauma.
•Review of self-of-the-therapist and the role this plays in treating trauma
