In Dane County, Journey is a leader when care is most critical. We operate Dane County’s 24/7/365 suicide prevention hotline. We also offer crisis intervention and stabilization services. Our specially trained staff and team of Peer Support Specialists stand ready to skillfully and compassionately support you during times of crisis.
Journey’s 24/7 Suicide Prevention Hotline provides telephone assistance to Dane County individuals experiencing emotional distress or psychiatric crisis.

Our Crisis Intervention Teams offer immediate face-to-face counseling services in your home, neighborhood, business or onsite in our Emergency Services Unit, for adults experiencing a mental health crisis.
Our Services
- Referrals to appropriate services.
- Interim support until connected to ongoing services.
- Limited emergency medication prescribing appointments for individuals who are not connected to a prescriber, and who are assessed by crisis staff to be at risk of harm to self or others. This is for people with MA or no insurance.

- Compassionate staff.
- Client advocacy.

Our Services
- Limited term case management for adults who are at risk of entering a mental health crisis or are coming out of a mental health crisis, and are not connected to community providers. This is for individuals on MA or who are uninsured.
- Assessments to determine placement in a hospital diversion placement/crisis bed.
What You Can Expect
- Support and assistance in getting connected to mental health services.
- Limited transportation to and from mental health appointments and housing appointments – when other transportation is not available.

Journey’s Resource Bridge connects individuals who have been hospitalized, utilized emergency services, or a care center, after a mental health emergency.
What You Can Expect
Adults who are unconnected in the community may receive crisis stabilization services for up to 90 days.
