Training Description:
The ACE's Study and subsequent research have generated a growing awareness that trauma is frequently at the root of social, emotional, and psychological difficulties. Consequently, many individuals, systems, and institutions across various human service sectors are seeking and/or providing training in trauma-informed service delivery. This workshop aims to draw on existing literature and resources and provide an overview of trauma, its impact on those we serve, and best practice treatment approaches.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will:
•Review and be able to describe the Trauma-Informed Framework.
•Compare the current models approved for treating trauma.
•Be able to illustrate and apply the interventions that clinicians can use immediately with their consumers.
