Journey's Impact

Journey is the mental health safety net for thousands of individuals living in Dane and Columbia Counties. And the need grows every year.

Our work affects society on multiple levels: Left untreated, mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders can have a devastating impact on individuals, family members and friends, in neighborhoods, and our overall communities. The impact ranges from broken family relationships, increased chance for poverty and homelessness, to excessive drug and alcohol usage, crime and jail.

Journey provides hope and a path to health, wellness and recovery. All our programs are designed to encourage consumers to develop their overall wellbeing and lead meaningful, productive lives.

Donate to journey

Every dollar donated helps us break down barriers to mental health treatment for those who need it most. We are so grateful to our generous donors for continuing to support our mission and helping us serve the needs of Dane and Columbia County residents.

According to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness):

     - 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year

     - 1 in 20 U.S. adults experience serious mental illness each         year

     - 1 in 6 U.S. youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health         disorder each year

     - 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75%          by age 24

    - Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged         10-14

The need grows every year, and we need your help.

Journey provides hope and a path to health, wellness and recovery. All our programs are designed to encourage consumers to develop their overall wellbeing and lead meaningful, productive lives.
