Journey is the mental health safety net for thousands of individuals living in Dane, Columbia, Dodge, and Sauk Counties. And the need grows every year.
Our work affects society on multiple levels: Left untreated, mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders can have a devastating impact on individuals, family members and friends, in neighborhoods, and our overall communities. The impact ranges from broken family relationships, increased chance for poverty and homelessness, to excessive drug and alcohol usage, crime and jail.
Journey provides hope and a path to health, wellness and recovery. All our programs are designed to encourage consumers to develop their overall wellbeing and lead meaningful, productive lives.
Help keep the safety net in place with your tax-deductible donation today.

The Care Fund is an emergency fund strictly for the needs of Journey Mental Health Center consumers. Most consumer needs are addressed by clinical services including assessment, counseling, medication, case management, employment, and coaching and support. However, common problems most of us deal with daily can become major barriers to recovery for those we serve.
The Care Fund provides modest financial assistance to Journey consumers for a variety of needs, including:
- Basic needs (food, personal care, and house cleaning products).
- Education and vocational training.
- Exercise and wellness programs.
The Care Fund is managed by a committee of long-term Journey employees and volunteers who make allocation decisions. Your support enables Journey Mental Health Center to help consumers without reducing critical program funding.
